Packers were absolutely refusing to do this under Ball ... as one of the few teams that didn't, it meant they kept getting the bottom of UDFA FA picks.

For some reason that changed last year and it's good to see that change has continued, though I'm a bit surprised they're getting more than a draft pick, and that's why some rather be an UDFA than a extremely late round draft pick (also because they get to decide which team they sign with).

Let's just hope he's talented enough to make the roster and that money isn't wasted.
