2. His injury doesn't sound like it was quite as severe
3. 14 years (God, I feel old) worth of medical advancements/improvements in rehab stuff
But he does have one thing working against him:
1. He plays for the Packers, who are notoriously conservative regarding medical situations. Although, I have to wonder if that is changing somewhat lately, given how they handled Love and Alexander last year.
I actually think Ry nailed it - starts on PUP, then comes off when ready. It looks like they've reduced the PUP situation from 6 games to four. That might still be pushing it. But I think, fingers crossed, that early to mid October might not be so farfetched after all (was previously expecting December, if that)...
