ProFootballReference has a metric they call Weighted Career Approx Value. It's essentially a way of of normalizing what a player contributes in the NFL, regardless of their position. While the formula itself isn't known (at least from what I can find) it does seem to give benefit to snap counts, meaning QBs, OL and LBs seem to get more value than the average position.
So I pulled all players drafted since 2005, grabbed their Approx Value and divided it by number of games they played. This way guys who've been recently drafted get a fair shake against guys with more games and more snaps.
The list was quite interesting. Keep in mind, this includes all career games, not just with the Packers.
20. OL TJ Lang
19. OL Bryan Bulaga
18. LB Blake Martinez
17. WR Greg Jennings
16. OL Zach Tom
15. OL Josh Myers
14. WR Jordy Nelson
13. OL Corey Linsley
12. EDGE Clay Matthews
11. S Nick Collins
10. OL Elgton Jenkins
9. WR Davante Adams
8. WR Jayden Reed
7. OL Josh Sitton
6. RB Aaron Jones
5. OL Rasheed Walker
4. RB Eddie Lacy
3. OL David Bakhtiari
2. QB Aaron Rodgers
1. QB Jordan Love
Obviously guys like Walker and Lacy being in the top 5 while guys like Linsley and Matthews being outside the top 10 show a limitation to this methodology. But it's good to see a good handful of guys on the current roster cracking the top 20.
Guys who just missed the cut are Jaire Alexander, Kenny Clark, Christian Watson, Quay Walker, and Daryn Colledge.
