He's one of the best in the game, and there is zero chance the Cowboys let him go (unless he's a lot more trouble off the field than we know)... they just have put themselves in cap trouble and to save money are trying to push paying him out.

They'll keep franchise tagging him if they have to.

But honestly, I have been a bit surprised by some of the things the Jones family has said about him.


When asked about his contract, Jerry Jones basically said he can't stay healthy, while I think his injury has been fairly minimal.

Then when Jerry's son Stephen (who I believe is now running the day to day business) was asked about it, he said they're willing to pay, but the players has to be willing to get paid? What BS is this?


PFT explained that probably means they're willing to pay him a sub market value, but the players believes he wants more.


Based on Parson's take, they haven't even offered sub-value deal...



But Stephen story and Parson stories don't make sense together... Stephen suggested they're waiting on Parson, and Parson is saying they haven't even started.


But supposedly Jerry Jones is infamous for getting around agents and negotiating directly with players, which is technically against the CBA. But Jerry supposedly gets away with it all the time.
