First off, the rules keep changing, this years it's the return from IR rules, where they now have 8 return from IR, which bumps up to 10 if a team qualifies for the playoffs.

Also for the first time ever, teams can put up to two players on the IR, and bring them into the season, BUT they MUST designate them for return from IR at the 53 man cutdown. And if this happens, they're basically treated as if they're on the PUP, even if they're technically on another list, but similar rules, but key is a limit of two.


But yes, this new rule and all the injuries that have happened have basically killed any slim shot of someone actually 100% predicting this down to zero chance.


Also, PUP players don't count against the 53 man roster and your WR count is off. So you got more free spaces.
