Pass defense, DBs Nixon, Williams, Valentine and Hobbs have been a great job, probably in part due to the pass rush but still they have been dominated when the pass rush doesn't get pressure right away and limiting mistakes.
I'll go ahead and put Wooden in there, as I thought he was going to be cut in the off-season and he's been firmly solid (not good, but solid) this season not where I expected. I still think a stud DT could really elevate this DL even more.
I think the unsung hero of this defense (Parsons getting almost all the attention) but the unsung hero has to be the LBers, flying around... especially Cooper.
If we watched this tackling in slow-mo, I promise you we would be pissed and tired of guys hitting an offensive player, but not bringing them down, getting nervous that the offensive player is about to get more yards, only for one of the LBers to come in immediately and complete the tackles before the player is able to get additional yards.
But the Packers first person tackling has been HORRIBLE, but their rallying/swarming to the ball has been absolutely amazing, the second or third guy gets you before you have gotten far from the first guy.
Swarming to the ball
Love has come out hotter than I expected.
Wicks, so far, seems prefect which is a surprise to me.
You have to praise Heath, he's been helpful in the passing game and (like Lazard) he's been one of the top 10 (non-OL) run blockers according to PFF. Currently no other Packers WR is anywhere close. Most of them are neutral, Golden and Wicks need to pick up their run blocking. But Give Heath credit for being well rounded and doing a part the rest are struggling with exceeding at.
I'm not staying he is the best, but you potentially could make a case that Kraft is the best TE in the NFL SO FAR this season. I surely wasn't expecting to be saying that... though some of the credit goes to LaFleur for maximizing the TEs as Musgrave and Kraft are both in the top 3 of TEs yards per route run. So they're focusing the game plans through the TEs certainly some.
OL in pass blocking, though sorta expected, but their run blocking needs to pick up.
