While I agree with the general sentiment of your post, I will push back just a bit, only because griping about the Watt pick is not a 'hindsight 20/20' situation. MOST - in fact, nearly ALL posts on draft night that year were absolutely BLASTING Ted Thompson for not making that pick. I don't recall another pick since I've been posting here (for that matter, reading posts on boards before I even started participating) where literally the minute it happened, there was such a total consensus that the GM absolutely blew it.
But you're certainly right about it being long enough ago that the statute of limitations has probably run out, especially considering that none of the 'powers that be' who made that pick are still with the team.
But can I still gripe about the 13th overall pick in 2023?
