I mean, I agree, but at the same time, I've always questioned just how much of a difference a different coach would make as far as penalties (and more generally disciplined play).

These players have been playing football, most of them, since they were grade-schoolers. In theory, they should have had 'discipline' drilled into their heads since a young age. By the time they reach the NFL, is there a point where they pretty much "are what they are"? Would a different coach really make any difference? Is the issue more that Gutekunst/the scouts/etc. need to look more closely at whether players play with discipline before they are acquired?
