The single biggest change in defensive play happened the minute Wyatt went out. We're learning there is a BIG dropoff from him to everyone else they have at interior DL.
The other change is that teams have figured out that GB's D lives and dies on QB pressure. And they've found ways to work around that - whether quick passes, extra blockers, etc. And coupled with that, our DB's are by and large pretty mediocre. So as long as the QB can get the ball out, there's a really good chance the WR will be open (or the DB won't turn around and either get called for PI, or have the ball zip right by him to the receiver).
The fixes are obvious. One (get Wyatt back) should happen fairly quickly; the other (get better DBs) won't until next year at the earliest.
It's about Jimmys and Joes, not about Xs and Os.
