I've had the same thought re: Parsons. If they truly anticipated Van Ness taking any sort of step forward, then with Gary and what some of the others showed down the stretch, I have to wonder whether they make that trade. They did give up an awful lot...

OTOH, if there was ever a player good enough to say "If you have an opportunity to get that player, you do it regardless of any other factors", it's Parsons.
