But I do wonder: Rodgers became a HOF sitting, but he was also sitting behind a HOF-caliber QB. Love is (sporadically) doing absolutely great, but he also was sitting behind a HOF-caliber QB. Would this sitting be as useful if you're sitting behind some barely average QB? I.e., if they had sat Joe Burrow, who would he have been sitting behind/learning from?
I guess I'm wondering how much of what they learn is learned by watching the starter play - and if you're watching a starter that just isn't very good, would it be of any value? Or is the sitting time more valuable from the coaching/mental aspects - having a couple of training camps to get coached up, mature physically, etc.?
