
Having lost not only Parsons, but Wyatt (which may be the bigger loss when you look at what's behind him vs. what's behind Parsons on the depth charts), how could expectations NOT take a hit?
I'm all for "next man up" - but when the guys you lose are either certified future HOFers (Parsons) or at least trending toward perennial pro-bowl player (Wyatt) if they could only stay healthy, it's hard to have a 'next man' that isn't a big drop-off in talent level/performance on the field.
One thing for sure: Jeff Hafley has his work cut out for him!
