But there was some 3rd emergency QB rule that kept changing, but at least at one point, that 3rd QB had to be on the main 53 man roster, even if they were not on the 46 GameDay roster...

The 3rd emergency QB could still play IF the first two QBs were officially out for the roof the game.


But again, that rule kept changing, I don't know it finally settled.




But Ridder is much more mobile than Tune, which if their backup packages call for a mobile QB, Ridder might be a better fit.
