It's worth a dart throw. I hope the Packers don't think "We did it with Willis, we can do it with Richardson." But he's still a highly talented player.

The Packers would take on an additional $5.4M in cap space and Richardson is only under contract through 2026. So it's not like Willis where he gets multiple years under LaFleur.

Still, I've grown to like the idea of having a dual threat QB as a backup. It gives the team a higher floor, knowing if Love goes down they can just lean into the run game.
