The trade rumors are out there, but I believe (I'm guessing) Josh Sweat is demanding a trade because the Cardinals are asking him to take a pay cut from the $18.1 million he's scheduled to get and he doesn't want to take a pay cut.


Also if Spotrac is correct, then he doesn't have to take a pay cut this year as supposedly his 2026 salary is guaranteed.

So 0% chance the Cardinals cut him...

But I think offering Reed (who we'd love to keep and is on a cheap rookie contract still), is too much for an expensive player that I believe the Cardinals are asking to take a pay cut.
