Yeah part of me almost feels like someone needs to step in and make sure the draft picks are getting paid better than the UDFAs, because money wise, it's becoming more valuable to be an extremely in demand UDFA more than a late round pick.

- Packers kicker 6th rounders got $206,532

- Top UDFA got $310,000 (DE Logan Fano to the Browns) which I wonder if any of that had to do with his younger brother (Spencer Fano) being drafted 9th overall to the Browns.

~ And Packers signed four UDFAs to more than their 6th round pick Kicker...


On one hand let capitalism rule, on the other hand, why lock in the prices of the draft picks if the UDFAs have no limits? The rules should be more equal between the rookies.


Also, I wonder if these guys have a good chance of making the Packers rosters... obviously the Packers shouldn't be paying them so much if they didn't.

These four (listed above) are guaranteed to make more than the kicker in year one even if they can't even make any teams Practice Squad.

LB T.J. Quinn also got a pretty good guarantee, though I'm thinking he's more competing for the 5th ILB spot which is really a ST ace spot and they love him for ST ace potential.



I don't know enough about the UDFA OGs, but the Packers probably did need better depth there, but the rest seem to be at fairly stacked areas of the roster, at least if players are healthy.
