
I don't think beating out Carrington Valentine for a spot on the field will really take much. Especially when Valentine is missing all this camp time in the first year of a new defense, when he should be learning what his responsibilities are in the defense. Meanwhile, Cisse IS getting that time and learning all those things.
In saying all that, I'm NOT really saying it's a done deal. But given all the circumstances (last year's poor quality of play from the CBs, Valentine following up that poor play by missing a bunch of camp time, AND Cisse standing out in camp), it's not hard at all for me to imagine that Cisse will be on the field week 1. I think the better question is, who's starting alongside him? Nixon, or St. Juste?
And yes, I AM saying that I think the starting CBs were poor enough overall last year to easily warrant two new starters...
