Beyond the obvious issues on the field, for me the guy just comes across as such a diva. Hearing him speak, he seems to think he's God's gift to the NFL. Sorry - he may be good, but he's not THAT good.

I could live with it when Jaire Alexander was griping that he wasn't being moved around to cover the opposing #1 receiver all the time - because at that time, he was playing like it. But Nixon is expressing a level of cocky that his play simply hasn't earned. And with all the stupid penalties, plus the obvious lack of effort at times this camp and preseason, the mouth is getting really old.

He'll be gone as soon as they determine that his level of play isn't worth the mouth... How soon that is will be determined by whether he just STFU and plays; if the utter lack of effort he has been showing at times continues, it might be sooner than anyone here thinks. A barely playable talent who gives max effort every play might just be more valuable to the team than a guy who does have a lot of physical attributes, but is seen to be giving "less than" effort.

Crazy to me - the guy is in a contract year, and he's out there dogging it...
