AC James stands in a hallway, backstage at an indie-show, leaning back against the cold, painted concrete wall. James, watching people pass-by hurriedly, watches said-people, then looks to the camera and squints, as if thinking.

"I know what you're thinking." James begins, "You're thinking 'this one-week of power has gone to their heads'. You're thinking 'trust a guy like James to give himself a title-shot'. You're thinking 'what EXACTLY is he going to do to insure victory and win my title?'. And most of all, you're thinking....'why me?'."

"Y'see, people seem to think they KNOW." James continues, "They think they know me, know my motivations, seem to KNOW that I'm some-kind of open-book, easily-read because I'm painted as the 'heel-stereotype'. A conniving, slithering snake at all times, ready to do whatever, whenever, to whomever, all in the name of victory, of holding more gold, of knocking another guy off their championship pedestal......"

"In some cases that might be true, but as in the world outside the ring, things aren't all that black-and-white." James says, "You can't paint me with that-broad a brush without giving me less credit than I'm worthy of."

"You see, Logan, I gave myself this title shot for many, MANY reasons, but I won't run through the list because, well, I don't have to." James says, smirking, "All you need to do is NOT look at this as a potential screw-job to cost you that Spotlight Championship......no, you need to look at this as a great opportunity, a great......challenge. Because, quite frankly, I don't think you've TRULY been challenged since arriving in HWA. Yeah, you've had your defenses, some matches that might've seemed like knock-down, drag-out wars......but that's NOTHING compared to our match, I promise you."

"If you can beat me, you get to live another week with that title you hold so dearly, AND some bragging-rights, maybe even a little more of a bump up the ladder." James continues, "But if you can't? Well.....let's just say, you'll be just another guy, proven how unworthy a champion he really is. If you REALLY care about that title and about your future in HWA, you'll be training hard, strategising harder, and be looking to make the most out of this opportunity. This.....challenge."

James stands upright from the wall and crosses his arms in front of him, smirking.

"Because I'd HATE to have to take that beautiful, shiny, precious Spotlight Title off your hands." James says with a chuckle, "I really would."

James scoffs and smirks some more, then walks past the camera, out of shot.
