*The scene opens in a private bar in Melbourne, Australia. The bar is filled with HWA fans and everyone is watching the door as if they were expecting someone to walk in. The bar is dimmed and there are three pool tables in the middle. A huge jukebox is playing, but it is too faint to hear what the music is. It is about 4:58 PM which makes it only two days until Havoc airs. Suddenly Maniac walks in the bar and a man that was standing next to the jukebox turns the music up as "Welcome Home" by Twiztid begins playing. The fans begin yelling and screaming. They shoot the wine cap off and pour cups around to people. Fans open beer cans, and beer bottles. Maniac waves his hand and high fives a few people in the bar. Maniac sits at the bar.*

Bartender: What'll be mate?

Maniac: Jack and Coke.

Bartender: Coming right up big man.

*Maniac turns around and see's people dancing on the dance floor. After a while, the bartender slides Maniac his drink. He takes a sip and then sets it back down on the bar. Maniac’s wife Jessica then walks out from the ladies room and sits next to Maniac. There is also a man sitting on the opposite end of Maniac, his agent Castor Troy.

Jessica: Easy there baby, you still have some training to do for your match at Havoc.

Maniac: Don’t worry about me baby, I know. I have been thinking about this match since it was announced. Deas and I will step in the ring with TNT and show them what tag team wrestling is all about.

Castor Troy: Speaking of Deas, where the hell has he been lately? I haven’t seen a single promo from him yet and there is only two days until Havoc! Do you think he will show up?

Maniac: I don’t’ know where he’s been but I know he’ll show up. Deas isn’t one to turn down competition. Deas isn’t just my tag partner, he is my friend and I trust him. He’ll be there.

Castor Troy: Are you sure?

Maniac: Damnit Castor, I’m not going to sit here and argue with you, he’ll show up.

Castor: What about you Jessica?

Jessica: I really don’t know Deas that well but if my husband trusts him and says that he’ll show then he’ll show.

Castor: Alright, if you guys say so but I still have my doubts about that joker.

*Maniac and Jessica stand up and move to the other end of the bar where they are sitting alone. Maniac grabs his cup on the way.*

Maniac: I’m glad you came to see me; I miss you being out on the road all the time.

Jessica: Well of course I came to see you, I miss you to and I wanted to see you. So when Castor said he was meeting you here I came with him.

Maniac: Well, I’m still bummed out that Deas and I didn’t win the HWA Tag Titles at Road to Ruin but I’ll get over it. Deas and I will dominate TNT and become the number one contenders to the HWA Tag Team Championship.

Jessica: I wish you guys the best of luck; you just need to keep your head on straight and work together to beat TNT.

Maniac: I guess your right.

*A big fella comes ups and puts his hand up trying to high five Maniac.*

Big Man: What’s up mah brotha?

*Maniac puts his hand out and slaps hands with the man.*

Maniac: Not much.

Big Man: The names Lorenzo.

Maniac: Nice to meet you Lorenzo.

Lorenzo: Yo, I was watching yo match on da TV earlier. You whooped some ass in dat match brah!

Maniac: Thanks. It wasn’t good enough though, I lost.

Lorenzo: Don’t worry bout it brah, you and Deas are going to whoop those idiots TNT, I just know it.

Maniac: What can I say? We are just that good.

Lorenzo: Aight mah brotha. I'll leave ya be with your woman. Peace.

*Lorenzo walks off and Maniac looks at Jessica with a confused look. Maniac turns back around and puts his arms on the table as Jessica and Maniac begin talking again.*

Maniac: I don't know what that was all about.

Jessica: Just a nice guy.

Maniac: I guess.

Jessica: So how does it feel to be teaming with Deas again?

Maniac: It feels pretty good actually. I mean, the HWA is as solid as any wrestling organization running today. It will succeed for many years to come, and to have an up and coming tag team like the Hardcore Icons will just bring in more spectators. Deas and I are aiming for another Tag Title shot but for now we have to concentrate on beating TNT.

*Maniac chugs the rest of his drink. He orders another one, light on the Coke. He begins drinking it.*

Jessica: You are over doing it babe, what about your match?

Maniac: Baby, I told you not to worry, my head is in the game.

*Maniac drinks the rest and orders another. As the night progresses, Maniac becomes drunker and drunker. About 2 hours later Maniac can still function but not very well. Maniac has already played about 10 games of pool, and is now sitting at a table with Jessica who has only drank one cup. Maniac could fully function until...*.


SCENE TWO

*The alarm begins buzzing. Maniac sits up fast in his bed and grabs his head. He then shoves the alarm off the dresser making it unplug and turn off. Jessica walks into the room from the bathroom fully clothed.*

Jessica: Morning Sunshine.

Maniac: Where are we?

Jessica: At the hotel. You got pretty messed up last night.

Maniac: My head is killing me! Do you have any Advil?

Jessica: Yeah let me check my purse.

*Jessica walks over and pulls four tablets of Advil out and hands them to Maniac and he grabs the cup of water that is nearly falling off the table from when he threw the alarm, and takes the Advil.*

Maniac: How did we get here?

Jessica: Your limo. You told the driver to wait around the corner for you. The driver and I helped you into your bed. You could barley walk. You threw up in the back of the limo. Good thing you hit the trash can, or it would have been gross!

Maniac: God My head!

*Maniac leans back and pulls the covers over his head.*

Jessica: You can't go back to sleep!

Maniac: Why not?

Jessica: Remember? You have to be ready for that show your on today!

Maniac: Oh shit!

*Maniac throws the covers off and jumps out of bed. He is still wearing the same clothes as last night, minus the shoes.*

Jessica: Relax. It's only 9:00. You don't have to be their until 11:00

*Maniac finally gets moving around. He takes a shower and gets into the right clothing for the Bob Nichols show. Maniac and Paige drive to the TV station. Maniac walks in and meets with Bob. They both discuss a few things. Finally Maniac walks off stage as the show is about to begin.*

Bob Nichols: Welcome Ladies and Gentlemen to the Bob Nichols show! You all know me Bob Nichols! Today we have a special guest. Before we get to him, On February 10 the HWA hosted Road to Ruin in Chicago Illinois! You were in a tag team match for the HWA Tag Team Championship with AC James and Eddie K! It was one hell of a match but unfortunately Maniac came up short and lost the match. But this week on a special Havoc that kicks of the Australian Tour, Maniac and his tag team partner Bryan Deas will be taking on TNT for the number one contendership to the HWA Tag Team Championship. Now, let’s bring him out, here he is, "The Human Horror Reel," MANIAC!!!!!!!

*Maniac walks out onto stage. He shakes Bobs hand and sits at the chair on the other side of his desk.*

Bob Nichols: Welcome to the show Maniac.

Maniac: Thanks Bob, happy to be here.

Bob Nichols: Now Maniac, tell me again how you became a professional Wrestler.

Maniac: Well, my career started back when I was a kid. I was on my own and had no where else to go so I started training my ass off for wrestling because that’s what I’ve wanted to do since I was a kid. As I trained and got better I was approached by a man named Castor Troy who offered to be my agent and the rest is history. I have been doing this for nine years now.

Bob Nichols: A very interesting career so far. So, what do you have in mind for your future in the HWA?

Maniac: Well, I have decided to focus right now on winning the HWA Tag Team Championship with Deas. After that I’m gonna ago for another run after the HWA All-Stars Championship

Bob Nichols: I bet that would be one hell of a match. This week you are in a tag team match. Correct?

Maniac: Correct. Deas and I are taking on the team known as TNT where the winner is the number one contender to the HWA Tag Team Championship.

Bob Nichols: What do you think about your opponents?

Maniac: Well you know, I really don’t know much about my opponents but from what I have seen from the tapes I have watched of them. They both had quite a run at Road to Ruin when they beat DNA and they looked pretty good. I think they are two strong competitors who will make and interesting tag team but unfortunately TNT doesn’t have what it takes to take on Deas and I. We are a well oiled machine and we can work as one hell of a tag team as you have already seen in the past. You see Deas and I have an understanding, we know that we are both great hardcore wrestlers and we respect each other enough to put our past behind us and work together to become HWA Tag Team Champions. Just remember this TNT, When Deas and I beat you at Havoc, you will fall and you will lose to the future HWA Tag Team Champions the Hardcore Icons. I'm sorry TNT, but the fact is you just don’t have the experience as a team to beat us. The time grows near and your FATLITIES ARE COMING!

Bob Nichols: You have always been known to be a little cocky.

Maniac: Bob, honestly I have every right in the world to be cocky. If you think for one second that I am too cocky, then you need to watch the HWA more and see my work. I should be cocky. I am the BEST hardcore wrestler that this federation has ever seen and I am one half of an upcoming tag team in the HWA. When Deas and I walk into the ring and beat the living hell out of TNT, everyone will understand that we are tag team championship material and that I am All-Star Title material.

Bob Nichols: How do you think TNT will work as a team?

Maniac: As a team I think there styles will work well together and make for an interesting tag team but, like I said before Deas and I have more experience as a team and that will lead us to the victory at Havoc

Bob Nichols: What do you think about Talon Wilkinson having to give up the HWA Championship?

Maniac: I think that’s he’s a good guy who got screwed out of his HWA Title. Senester is just trying to get under his skin by messing with him and it’s a shame that Talon has to give up the thing that he has worked so hard to win. Talon I feel for you man, I hate that this is happening to you with all the other personal stuff you have going on in your life and if you need any help at all let me know.

Bob Nichols: Any last words before we end the show?

Maniac: I'd just like to warn TNT that they are about to be in the ride of their lives. They are about to get their asses handed to them first hand by both Deas and myself. PREPARE TO FEEL THE WRATH OF THE HARDCORE ICONS!!!

Bob Nichols: Thanks Maniac. That will do it for the Bob Nichols Show, see you tomorrow afternoon everybody!

*The show ends as Maniac stands up and shakes Bob's hand. Maniac walks off stage and meets his wife Jessica who has been backstage in the halls the whole show.*

Jessica: Great show.

Maniac: Thanks.

Jessica: Where to now?

Maniac: Well its 7:31 now. Let’s get some lunch, and then we can hit the gym afterwards.

Jessica: Alright, sounds good to me.
