(Wisdom): Butch, this is the million zillionth goddamn message I’m leaving you. Where the hell are you? I don’t know what the hell you think you’re doing but you need to call me right now this is not a joke.
Wisdom slams the phone down and looks around as Jake and Sarah rush over to her pulling on her legs.
(Sarah): Auntie Wisdom…it’s time for the tea party.
(Wisdom): Not now Sarah, I’m trying to get a hold of your uncle Butch.
(Sarah): But Auntie Wisdom, you promised. You said…
(Wisdom): I’m not your damn auntie, now will you go sit down so I can think.
A defeated look comes over Sarah’s face. Her chin quivers and tears begin to flow from her. Wisdom recognizes the mistake she’s made in being so harsh and kneels down to Sarah.
(Wisdom): Listen… I’m sorry sweetheart, I didn’t mean to yell at you. Auntie Wisdom is just very worried about your uncle Butch, it’s been a long few days.
Sarah is sniffling, the tears subsiding as Wisdom scoops her up in her arms.
(Wisdom): How about you get your little dolly and we’ll have that tea.
(Sarah): Ok!
Sarah gives her a kiss on the cheeks and Wisdom walks out onto the patio, the ocean breeze blowing through her hair as she looks out into the sea.
(Wisdom): Damn you Butch…what the hell is going on?
She looks back into her home, once more filled with the sounds of children playing and the resilient Sarah gleefully skipping around with her doll and setting up her plastic tea-set. Wisdom sighs deeply and heads back inside as the scene fades to black.
