Once more, the HWA official gestures to a reporter, precipitating another question.
(Susan Taylor): Heinrich, have you and Logan thought any more on tagging on a permanent basis?
(Heinrich): Nothing truly serious if I'm honest. We spoke about it for a few minutes here and there over the remainder of the weekend, but I think we'll see how our chemistry is during the match, and whether we actually enjoy working together.
(Susan Taylor): You seem to have good chemistry together, if you don't mind me saying so.
(Heinrich): That's out of ring; and no, I don't mind you saying so.
He smiles warmly at the reporter.
(Heinrich): We get on like a house on fire, and when we've fought one another, I've always walked away learning something about myself, so I've no concerns there. But it's being able to trust one another, to know what he's going to do, to be able to read him well enough to work to both our advantages etcetera; if it's forced, then we're doing a disservice to ourselves.
He laughs, as he thinks back on the weekend.
(Heinrich): Although, Logan did come up with a name when we were walking to the gym… 'The League of Hard'. He was probably still under the influence, but he made a good argument for it. The 'L' referenced his name, and the 'H' referenced mine.
Next to him, Hans snorts with amusement, shaking his head from side to side.
(Colin Hammond): From what's been hinted at, it appears that this Havoc will be the one where the card for Ringmaster 2010 is announced. As in last years, tag-matches will likely be the first round. Do either of you have any preference for who you'd like to see partnered with you?
Hans and Heinrich glance at one another, Hans shrugging, while Heinrich gestures at him to go first.
(Hans): Well if it is indeed following the same pattern as previous years, then you're obviously wanting someone who you won't need to carry to tag with, good enough to help you get one over the first match without too many problems, but also easy enough to dispatch in the second round. Looking at the roster, there aren't many who fall into that category.
Heinrich leans forward, propping himself on his elbows, as he thumbs a gesture towards his brother.
(Heinrich): Much like what my brother's said, there's going to be few ideal draws available. Those who have focused on tag-team action recently will probably have the advantage in the opening match; being used to working as a team, but I think they’d then struggle when the rounds moved to singles based action.
(Hans): I don’t see it exactly like that, I’d think there’d be a good chance that such people would struggle to adapt in the first round to a new partner, and that could be all that was needed for them to not progress.
Heinrich tilts his head to the side where his brother sits in recognition of his point.
(Heinrich): Then there’s that too.
(Colin Hammond): Hans, a first round exit and a semi-final appearance are your current Ringmaster results, from 2004 and 2005 respectively, while this will be your first event Heinrich. Any predictions for where you’ll finish?
This time it’s Heinrich that goes first, his elder brother happy to wait his turn.
(Heinrich): Erm… I’d probably settle for making it through the first round if I’m being honest.
(Colin Hammond): There have been those that have won it in their first year. Why aim low?
(Heinrich): Because I’m realistic? *Laughs* Look, I’ve only been wrestling competitively for the last few months after a long lay-off, and the competitive member of the family is sitting next to me, so I’ll settle for it being a learning experience, and see what happens next year.
(Hans): Well as you said, my best showing was a semi-final loss, to Nightmare if I remember, so I’ll be looking to take a step further this time and get to the final…
He gives a moment’s pause, a smile forming.
(Hans): … and win.
(Heinrich): *Muttered* Confident git.
Hans chuckles in response to his brother’s verbal dig, as the final reporter gets to his feet.
(Bruce Pipes): Are you able to shed any light on the Miss Vanessa Lang’s current state Hans?
(Hans): I am indeed. She’s recovering well, another week or so and the cast can be removed, she’ll then be seeing the physio to ensure her leg regains it’s muscles correctly and without compromising the break when she exercises. Once she gets back from visiting family tonight, I’m sure you’ll be able to ask her yourself.
At this point, the HWA official once more steps forward.
(HWA Official): Ladies and gentlemen, that’s all we have time for during this particular interview. We still have a busy schedule ahead as I’m sure you’re aware.
Nodding their thanks to the official and reporters, Hans and Heinrich take the time to pose for several promotional photos, before being ushered backstage as the scene fades to black.
