(Sarah Golding): Hans. Would you care to comment on what happened at last night's Havoc?
(Hans): Anything in particular, or in general?
(Sarah Golding): In general firstly.
(Hans): I had a good result at Havoc, as did my brother, and Vanessa didn't get involved with anything against her will.
He shrugs, using the movement to adjust the strap on his satchel into a more comfortable position.
(Hans): Hard to see any downside to what happened.
(Sarah Golding): Speaking of your brother. Did he require any treatment for that cut he received?
(Hans): He needed the biggest plaster they had, and some paracetemol before bed, but that's about it.
One of the reporters back in the group pushes forward, elbowing the others out of his way.
(Tom Shinoda): Hans! Hans! Eddie K, are you confident going into this match with the World title at stake? Do you have what it takes?
(Hans): You should be aiming your question at Eddie, not me; I've beat him the last two times I faced him.
Another reporter butts in.
(Harris Burke): It's a 'best of three' Hans, can it go to the wire? Will there need to be a rubber match?
(Hans): It can, but it won't.
(Harris Burke): Why won't it Hans?
(Hans): After what he pulled with Vanessa, his complete disregard for her life, not to mention the ill advised remarks he and whatever crony he had about him at the time aim in my direction at any given opportunity; I'm not in a mood to mess around.
(Dylan Robertson): No love lost between Eddie K and yourself then?
Hans merely snorts with laughter, not bothering with a response.
(Dylan Robertson): In previous matches and incidents involving the pair of you, at the end, there seems to be a grudging respect. Would you say that this is true?
(Hans): Barring the fact that 'respect' is bandied about too much these days despite it being in short supply, last year, yeah there was… at least a small measure of it. You go toe to toe with someone who taxes your limits, you're going to have at least an ounce of respect for their wrestling skills at the least, because when the open their mouths they tend to jump in with both feet... This year though, just what has he done exactly to earn any?
(Tom Shinoda): He won the World title!
(Hans): Given the state of the division at the time, I wouldn't give him too much credit for that…
He stops walking out of frustration, and turns to face the reporters.
(Hans): He's doing exactly what done with the All-Star title, and that's run it into the ground. Were it not for management putting him into meaningful title defences he'd have let that division rot through inaction on his part.
He points at the various reporters to emphasis his next point emphatically.
(Hans): And you can print that.
He turns around once more, as he begins walking towards the concourse exit.
(Sarah Golding): But as you well know Hans; Eddie K had his first title defence against Senester.
A bark of mocking laughter escapes Hans' lips.
(Hans): Oh come on! I think we all know what a complete cop out that match was given who he could have picked as his opponent instead.
(Sarah Golding): Are you brushing aside Senester's wrestling ability?
(Hans): Oh please, nothing could be further from the truth. I'm not going to stand here and list why it was a poor choice though, given that the man has done it himself in response to when Eddie aired his choice.
(Frank Hunt): What are your plans in the run-up to 'Blood, Sweat & Tears' then Hans?
(Hans): I'll be sticking to my usual routine, it's gotten me this far and to change it unnecessarily would be to potentially throw me off-kilter for no reason.
(Frank Hunt): You don't feel the need to improve anything then?
(Hans): There's always something that you can improve, but to rush it would be pointless, and given that there's a chance I might injure myself if I try something incorrectly, then why take the risk? As I've said, what I've got has taken me this far and given me two wins over Eddie. Case closed.
(Frank Hunt): Any words on your brother's victory over Eddie?
Hans' top lip curls up into a sneer as he responds.
(Hans): The display he put on against my brother just there is a prime example, as if anymore are needed, that he thinks that his job is done now that he has the belt around his waist. As for Heinrich, he was exemplary, and it's a shame that this result, which would have ended with a victory for him anyway, will forever be tarnished with the fact that Eddie walked away as he did.
(Tom Shinoda): Do you agree with David Willyard's statement on the various champions then?
(Hans): As it stands, for three quarters of them, yes.
He reaches the end of the concourse, and comes to a halt at the doors, turning round to face the reporters while raising his hands to forestall any further questioning.
(Hans): That'll be all the questions I'm willing to answer for now. I'm sure you can all understand that I've been on my feet for longer than is probably healthy, and that I wouldn't mind getting home for some sleep.
With that, he sweeps through the exit, heading towards the pick-up point, as the scene fades to black.
