(Roderick): What’s going on, HWAVerse! After a historic Havoc behind us where we saw all the women on the roster team up with some of the guys for some unprecedented intergender action, I’m joined by none other than “The Sky Assassin” Sean Parker and Michelle Learner.
The camera pans back and Sean and Michelle are brought into view. Michelle is all smiles whilst Sean looks a little less enthusiastic but there’s still some semblance of a smile on his face.
(Roderick): Sean, Michelle, thank you so much for joining us. We spoke to you guys earlier tonight before the match; Sean, you were very confident going into this match but the result wasn’t what you had in mind I’m sure. What happened out there?
Sean looks down to Michelle beside him, his arm wrapped around her shoulders and he gives them a squeeze.
(Sean): Roddy, what happened tonight was you saw this incredible girl here have the performance of her career. Was the result what either of us wanted? No, of course not but you know what? Tobias does what Tobias does. He looks for every shortcut he possibly can to get any advantage possible. He had to resort to every dirty trick in that little book of his just to have a level playing field with both Michelle and I tonight. So, yeah, he can enjoy his win tonight because in the grand scheme of things, he’s the only one that’s going to care about it. I’m just so incredibly proud of Michelle after tonight.
Michelle looks like she’s trying not to blush, and playfully hits Sean’s arm.
(Michelle): Oh, stop it you!
(Roderick): In all seriousness, Michelle, the HWA’s social media pages are blowing up with support for you and the rest of the women on the roster for their performances tonight, especially you! Some are calling it your breakout performance since HWA’s return to network television.
(Michelle): Wow, I'm so honored....really.
She's positively beaming as she looks at Sean blushing.
(Michelle): I have so many people to thank for that, I didn't do it alone. I wouldn't be here if Sensei didn't believe in me, if Mr. Hans didn't take the time to share his knowledge and expertise with me, and most importantly...
She looks at Sean again. The adoration and love in her eyes is so very apparent as she looks into his little green globes.
(Michelle): ...if Sean wasn't by my side. He's pulled me out of my shell from day one. Going back to getting me used to just being in front of fans and signing autographs, now meeting fans is one of my favorite things to do, and he's helped build my confidence in the ring. I don't think I believed in myself enough, but with his patience and support and just feeding off the energy of the crowd it makes all the difference win or lose.
(Roderick): Well, you’ve certainly added to your ever-growing congregation of fans after your efforts tonight, Michelle. Do you think there’s now enough justification for a return of the HWA Women’s World Championship or at least a championship that the female superstars can compete for?
(Michelle): Oh...I don't know.
She looks at Sean for some reassurance or indication of what that possibility might be.
(Michelle): I'm just really glad to see the ladies tonight take the spotlight, and I'm really proud to have been part of such a big night. Alexis was back in the ring, Sarah was back in the ring, and we were all blown away with Luna Rain returning. I'd like to think that there would be a chance for some gold in the near future.
(Roderick): And Sean, going off on a tangent for a moment, we saw footage from another organisation’s Chief Executive who seemingly took a veiled shot at HWA. You’ve been a staunch figurehead for this company since well before our CBS days, do you have any prevailing thoughts?
Sean can’t help but offer an involuntary sardonic smile. He looks down at Michelle briefly who just has a “oh boy, here we go” look on her face.
(Sean): Oh come on, Roddy. You think we’re gonna get fined for saying his name? Look, Triple H obviously still has a little bee in his bonnet after what happened between my uncle Butch and Cody Rhodes. Like what was said earlier on, WWE was the secondary promotion when HWA was at its peak and we’ve done extremely well since we came back to TV and it’s because of people like us…
Sean pulls Michelle close to him.
(Sean): And Sarah and Jeremy, and yeah, even Erica… that laid the groundwork for showing why everyone we are the best damn wrestling company in the world. So when Triple H says no one’s wanting to CBS and Chill, that isn’t some backhanded compliment, that’s fear… fear that they’ve had hit too easy in the ratings whilst we were gone and now we’re back, shaking things up. So yeah, I take it personally because I love pro wrestling and I love this company. So if Triple H wants to start another version of the Monday Night Wars, then you’ll find me on the frontlines.
(Roderick): Well, I’m sure the HWA diehard fans would love to see that, I’m sure, Sean. Now, if I can get your thoughts on one more thing, before I bring Michelle back into this. Tonight, we saw the crowning of a new one number one contender for Stu-E Price’s World Championship in Maniac which looks like it’s going to be the main event for Fatality. How do you see that one going and are you a little disappointed you’ve not been given another title opportunity yet?
Sean twists his lips slightly at the question, pursing them before he answers.
(Sean): To be honest? No, I’m not disappointed. Like it or not, I’ve had two cracks at that title in the main events of the last two pay-per-views and I hit the post both times. There are a ton of talented competitors, guys and girls - as we all saw tonight - that deserve an opportunity at the World Championship and, like him or not, Maniac earned his opportunity at Fatality. As for who wins, I couldn’t care less. I’ve already beaten Maniac clean. That being said, I’d love to have a crack at Price one-on-one for the championship, see if he has what it takes to pin my shoulders to the mat which he hasn’t done when the gold’s been on the line. But, at the moment, I have more important matters to be thinking of. I have one of the most important matches of my career at Fatality which I’d even say is more important than any championship belt. So all my focus in the next few weeks is going to be on preparing for my match with Sensei.
(Roderick): And I’m sure we can all agree that we are all looking forward to that match, Sean. Now, Michelle, to bring you back into the conversation. We are all thrilled that you and Sean are tying the knot but the questions on everyone’s lips are have you set a date yet and could we see a wrestling wedding live on PPV?
She's blindsided by the question and the horror-struck look on her face tells it. She looks to Sean briefly to rescue her.
(Michelle): Oh, Ummm...well....we've talked about a date but haven't decided, and No, there won't be a "wrestling wedding" as you say. We'll have a private ceremony with friends and family. As much as we love our fans and the business...this is personal, this is something just for us.
She looks at Sean and smiles, tightening her grip on his hand, smiling warmly.
(Sean): Yeah, no Macho Man and Elizabeth nonsense for us, Roddy, I’m afraid. Just me, Michelle, our friends and family…
Sean looks up.
(Sean): And the big man upstairs! Now, if you’ll excuse us, Roddy, me and this beautiful little lady are going out for dinner before we head back to LA. See you around.
(Roderick): Thank you for your time, guys!
The scene fades to black as Sean and Michelle disappear out of the shot.
