As the patriarch of the Draconis Family, William had always imagined this moment as an opportunity to claim that belt. But rising in the HWA organization was no small feat. It was a battleground filled with ambition, rivalry, and the relentless pursuit of glory. but he knew he had responsibilities beyond his own ambitions. He had to teach and guide his children, Jesse and Luna, along with his younger brother Wyatt and his nephew Kratos, the intricacies of the wrestling world and the challenges it posed.
(Dragon): Gather around. His voice is firm yet inviting. The four of them, each representing different facets of his legacy, quickly circled him the fiery Jesse with his rebellious spirit, the graceful Luna who looked up to her father with wide, eager eyes, the loyal yet sometimes reckless Wyatt, and the tenacious Kratos, who had an indomitable will to prove himself.
(Dragon): Listen carefully. William continued. This sport isn’t just about strength and agility. It’s about strategy, heart, and resilience. Each of you has a different path, but I want to prepare you for the challenges ahead.”
The children nodded, their gazes fixated on their father. The air in the gym crackled with anticipation as William began a rigorous training session. They started with conditioning exercises endless push-ups, sit-ups, and plenty of cardio. William moved among them, correcting form, pushing them harder, instilling the notion that discipline would create champions.
After an hour of sweat and determination, they settled in for a much-needed break.
(Dragon): Now that you’ve worked your bodies, let’s work our minds. William said, pacing in front of them like a general rallying his troops.
What do you think makes a great wrestler?
Jesse: Bravery! Jesse exclaimed, his fierce drive for the ring evident.
(Wyatt): Strategy, Wyatt suggested. You have to know how your opponent thinks.
Luna chimed in, Luna Rain: Mu—maybe knowing when to take risks?
Kratos added thoughtfully. Kratos: And understanding the consequences of those risks?”
William’s heart swelled with pride.
(Dragon): Exactly! It’s the synergy of those qualities that can make you a champion.
But as he spoke, a flicker of anxiety crossed his mind. His dreams for himself and the burdens of his family weighed heavily on him.
Yet deep down, he also felt a sense of urgency. The journey to the championship would require all of his focus. He was determined to rise but knew that there were rivals itching to take his spot.
That night, William lay awake, the sound of his family’s breathing the only thing filling the darkness. He thought about his own career trajectory about how he had fought tooth and nail to earn respect and recognition. He also thought of his father, who had pushed him just as fiercely. He remembered the stories, the mythos surrounding the title, and how it had been a symbol of honor in their family. And just like that, a plan began to form.
The following day, he gathered the family for a special challenge, a friendly competition to simulate the pressure of real life in the HWA. Each participant would face off in matches crafted by William himself. He wanted them to understand the adrenaline and fear of performing and the thrill of victory mingled with the sting of defeat.
As tensions rose and matches unfolded, William was proud to see his children throw themselves into the matches, learning the finer points of grappling and strikes. They pulled out their unique strengths, and even when they faltered, William saw the fire in their eyes the desire to improve, to learn, and to rise.
As Kratos faced off against Wyatt, there was a moment when the younger wrestler was thrown off balance and landed hard, pain momentarily flashing across his face. William rushed forward, ready to intervene, but he stopped. He understood that at that moment, Kratos needed to pick himself up. William’s expression of support was felt by all, especially by Kratos, who grit his teeth, pushed himself back up, and continued the match.
(Dragon): You see that?
With his voice steady but filled with emotion. Wrestling is about resilience. It's not falling that defines you, but how you rise afterward.
As the days went by, the atmosphere grew charged with excitement and determination. The Dragons Den, echoed in their minds. They all trained harder, bonding as a family, not just in wrestling, but in dreams.
William stood at ringside adrenaline coursing through him as he watched his family prepare. Jesse was stretching nervously; Luna looked lost in thought, and Kratos was bouncing on his feet. Wyatt was muttering mantras of courage. They were ready to face their challenges, together.
(Dragon): As I watch all of you train and work together to get better and stronger as the Draconis Family Stable. I also believe that we all need to learn from other people as well so the family is going to learn and train at the HWA Academy till our next Havoc.
All the members looked at each other and then to William. He just nodded that a change of atmosphere would be a good thing. So Luna grabbed her stuff and headed towards the door. With Kratos, Jesse and Wyatt following.
William looks around at the Dragons Den gym and sees the championships he had won and the title he hadn’t yet. He swings his duffel bag on his shoulder as he catches up with his family as the scene fades to black……
