Shadows danced across the walls, mirroring the chaos in his mind as he recalled the events following HWA Havoc the night that changed everything.
The attacks on his family had torn through him like a jagged blade, leaving deep emotional wounds that would take time to heal. His Daughter Luna, Son Jesse, Brother Wyatt, Nephew Kratos, and Cousin and advisor Angelus had narrowly escaped the Dream Master’s clutches, a dark and enigmatic force that thrived on fear and Chaos.
William’s heart pounded as he replayed the harrowing images of that night, where the line between reality and nightmare had blurred. Luna slowly walks into her fathers hospital room but seems to morph into a young woman from his past.
William,Jenny's voice echoed softly, snapping him back to the present. She stood at the door, bathed in the pale blue light of the hallway. Her warm smile betrayed the thin veil of worry that shadowed her face. How are you holding up?
It's hard, Jenny,he admitted, his voice breaking like fragile glass. I keep thinking about how close we came how close Jesse came to losing everything. He looked into her eyes, searching for reassurance. Instead, he found a mirrored pain, a shared burden that anchored them together.
Jenny crossed the room and sat beside him, her hand enveloping his. We’re safe now. The Dream Master can’t reach us here.
But deep down, William knew she was wrong. The Dream Master had already infiltrated his mind, twisting his thoughts and fears into a weapon against him. The taunting laughter echoed in his mind, threatening to pull him under into a vortex of despair.
He clenched his jaw as he tried to block out those haunting echoes, focusing instead on the meticulously arranged poster on the wall, an advertisement for HWA for this Havoc.
Maniac, the reigning champion, had his gaze fixed forward, a persona of unfazed confidence. It had become a source of both determination and dread for William. He had fought through the brackets for years, but now his journey felt overshadowed by the looming threats against his family.
They’re counting on you, you know, Jenny said, gently squeezing his hand. You still have to fight for the title and also deal with Maniac and Deas, Tobias, and Stu-E. They won’t go easy on you.
The championship means nothing if I can’t protect Jesse, and the family he sighed, frustration seeping into his voice. What if I lose focus? What if my fear makes me weak in the ring?
Your fear is not a weakness, William; it’s your armor. You’ve always risen up when it mattered most. You’ll find a way to balance both, she encouraged, her voice steady. He glanced at her, admiration swelling in his heart. Jenny had always been his solid ground; there was strength in her vulnerability, an undeniable resilience.
As the days windswept through the sterile corridors of the hospital, William prepared for his matches while grappling with the shadow of the Dream Master lurking just outside the sterile walls.
Grasping Jenny's hand, he whispered, I’ll fight, and I won’t lose what matters most. This is my battle and I will face it. With renewed resolve coursing through him, William knew that the ring wasn’t just a battleground for a title; it was a fight for his family's future.
William blinked hard and when his vision came back into focus Jenny was gone and Luna Rain and Josephine were there. The doctor had just removed the bandage. from his eyes. He thought to himself if his conversation with Jenny was real or a memory from their past.
He stared at Luna who was crying a bit trying to explain how Jesse, Angelus, and Wyatt are. But she just smiled and held her fathers hand. William looked at her hands holding his and saw the cross bracelet with her, her mothers and my birth stones in the center of it. The scene fades to black…..
