Somewhere in cheap hotel in an unknown city the television on the wall is turned to CBS Evening News. Multiple voices in the room can be heard but not distinguished amidst the mumbles and chatter. One voice raises, bringing the others to silence.

(Female Voice): Shhhhhhhhhh!

We see only the television as the anchor turns from a report on Venezula to a what they were waiting to hear.

(Norah O’Donnel): Authorities in Glendale, AZ have identified 25-year-old Taylor Morgan as the alleged reporter seen during the Hardcore Wrestling Alliance’s Art of War Press Conference just days ago. Morgan claimed his own life severing his carotid arteries before falling to the floor before CEO Butch Parker and a room of reports beyond aid, the word “Harbinger” carved into his chest. Joining us now our Phoenix correspondent Ty Brennan with more, Ty!

(Ty Brennan): Norah, behind me is the United Airlines flight that will bring the body of Taylor Morgan home to Chicago in what will be a most devastating reunion with his family. Speaking his parents we learned that Taylor had been a student at Northwestern University and was reported missing in 2020 at the height of the Covid pandemic leaving friends and family with no clues or answers to the millions of questions that would come from his sudden disappearance.

(Norah O’Donnel): Ty, has the Glendale PD uncovered anything that might explain his whereabouts during this time?

(Ty Brennan): Very little has been publicized at this time as the investigation continues, but they are beginning the process of at the very least attempting to trace the most recent steps that led Taylor Morgann to Glendale and the Desert Diamond Arena.

(Norah O’Donnel): In the live footage…which we shall not replay on air, we saw the word “Harbinger” on his torso, and his last words “They’re Coming!” are haunting to say the least.

(Ty Brennan): Haunting indeed, and toxicology reports are still pending, but his wounds including the carvings on his torso have been ruled as self-inflicted. The press badge he carried appears to have been fabricated so the mystery unfortunately remains. Authorities are asking for the public’s help with any information that might help piece this case together and can be contacted through their anonymous tip line.

(Norah O’Donnel): A tragic end for the Morgan family, and yet another spotlight thrown on the wrestling giant HWA who thus far have yet to officially comment. For Ty Brennan, I’m Norah O’Donnel with CBS News Phoenix…we’ll be right back.

(Female Voice): It’s my turn, I have to deliver the message to Maniac.

(Male Voice): This one’s important, you can’t screw this up.

(Female Voice): Taylor did his duty and I’ll do mine. You just worry about yours when the time comes.

The room goes silent and the news continues on the television as the scene fades to black.
