It was the night before Christmas
And all through the State
Horseshoe pitchers were saying I just can't wait
Dreams of many ringers danced in their heads
Thoughts of pass tournaments made them toss in their beds

While Jim & JanClay set up a schedule to do
With a lot of help from a capable crew
Pitchers make wishes they hope will come true
Of tournaments to win & a State Class Championship too

But the magic of horseshoes is the friendships we make
At our own clubs and across the state

In past results we read all their names
Of pitchers that are Legends with outstanding games
Tournaments we've pitched we'd like to forget
But never the players or the people we've met
With reddened eyes made by memories of many lost friends
My wish is that everyone have a safe & successful 2017 season
