Good Afternoon my fellow horseshoe pitchers. These times are unlike anything any of us have experienced before. The Covid-19 virus has forced us to rethink how we might go forward with our 2020 KHPA Season. Thus far a two part plan has been put in place. FIRST: ALL REGULAR ON-SITE TOURNAMENTS WILL BE POSTPONED until at least June. SECOND: AN ALTERNATIVE FORMAT TOURNAMENT WILL BE PLAYED on May 16th. This alternative tournament will allow members to pitch locally in a statewide format with class winners determined by percentage. The officers have been discussing how to handle this pandemic for the last month, from taking a "wait and see" outlook to creating alternate possible plans. This is the plan we have decided to adopt. We will be reevaluating the situation as we move further into May and readjust the plan as is warranted. Our alternative format committee will be releasing further information on how this tournament will be conducted.
