Due to the resignation coming mid-term, there will be a special election held via mail-in voting. Iím excited to announce that Iíll be running for the office of KHPA President in this election.
I have been involved in the KHPA for 14 years since starting in 2006. My very first horseshoe tournament I threw a total of 1 ringer, since then I have pitched in every percentage range from the bottom class to a world championship playoff game. I believe these experiences will help me in understanding and resolving the issues that each individual player has regardless of their skill level or division.
While I respect the work that the current officers do and that past presidents have done we, as an association, continue to decline. We have to make some changes to ensure the future of horseshoes in Kentucky. In the coming weeks I will put out a statement detailing the events that led to my decision to run as well as a plan of action for what I will do if elected, I will also be attempting to get in contact with all of our members to find out what is most important to everyone.
