Remembering Don Moore

I just discovered that the KHPA lost another legend recently. Donald C. Moore passed away this past fall on October 13th, 2022. Don lived in Northern Kentucky, Florence. He was the owner of the Day-bell horseshoe courts which held many tournaments during the 1970's and many great horseshoe pitchers played there. The Ky. State tournament was held there in 1969. His courts were one of the few options for pitchers of that era, with the KHPA, just having been re-organized in 1967. Day-Bell was the forerunner to what is now the OK Horseshoe Club. Don was an avid pitcher and tournament/league director. Don was 92 years of age. A tribute video is still online at the link below.
