I can say that I know and respect each and everyone of you personally. I know that we all have strong opinions on these events that have transpired through the past few months.
Out of respect to everyone involved, I would ask that you refrain from name calling and negativity here. These decisions are tough for sure. I don't like this road that Kentucky Horseshoes has been on any more than anyone else. We are all better than this. Please keep this in mind.
Although, I never wanted to be in this position, unfortunately this will fall on me and others to attempt to keep horseshoe pitching alive in Kentucky. Those that are left with this task will need your support. Positive comments are encouraged.
During my time in this sport, I have met some of the finest people I know, and many are no longer with us. While it will be challenging to recover, I feel like I owe it to all of those legends and others to see this sport continue. I knew many of them well enough to know that they would not want organized horseshoes to end.
I thank Vicki and Wayne for all that has been done to build and support horseshoes.
Let us not tear it down.
The KHPA is all of us. Not one, not two. ALL.
It falls on all of us to try and make it better if we can.
This is all I can do. Horseshoes is what I know.
Proper communication has, and always will be the key to success.
I am always open to listening to your thoughts if you want to talk or vent. 4-8pm.
Respectfully,
Robert Taylor
