Fred and his family built the horseshoe group here in Bardstown. Over the years, the 9 sand courts were closed and new ones were built where they currently are now. Fred, Stoney, Buddy and others worked their tails off to build those courts and the concession building. Lot's of memories and fun times here for sure.
Thanks to the former Nelson County Judge Executive, Dean Watts for sharing the sports grant with us to build these courts, and to the Fair Board, for allowing us to utilize the location and property.
Come on out see all of the great competition this Saturday in memory of Fred Nalley. The Fred Nalley Memorial Tournament will begin approximately at 10:00 am. The Ky Standard (our local newspaper) and the local TV station, PLG-13 will be on hand to interview pitchers and remoniss about Fred.
So contact Robert Taylor to get registered for Saturday's Memorial Tournament and lets have some fun.
