Jenny, I am so sorry to hear that. I remember Gilbert and Kent even when he was a junior pitching and Gilbert for many years from the 70s through the early 90s. He was always a pleasant fellow, and I enjoyed talking with him many time when we were traveling to horseshoe tournaments. All of us guys at Preston, Thought the world of the men and women in Tollesboro and Vanceburg. Many of time we would come up there just to have cookouts and meals and just spend the day pitching horseshoes; Some of the best food you will ever eat . The ladies were exceptional cooks, and they made sure they had plenty of food. May he rest in peace 🙏. God bless all of the strode family🙏
