My name is Terrie McDaniel and am wife to the deceased Charlie McDaniel. Charlie died in 2010 while flying a training mission for the United States Navy.
I received a letter that Charlie was selected to the Berry HS and Academy Sports Hall of Fame. My family's hearts are warmed. What a nice tribute.
The Hall of Fame Committee needs information about Charlie's role at the academy but so many of his treasures and papers are lost! I am still hunting, but no luck. If you knew Charlie and think you could help, please contact me. Charlie was a student of the Academy his senior year (1959-1960) College years at Berry were 1960 to 1964. His father, Harold McDaniel, served as Chaplain of Berry at that time. His family lived on campus.
