my low was 37.3 deg in the CT shoreline. It's crazy, some parts of Florida got a frost last night. I brought most of my stuff just in case. I guess there is no point in taking things out again, they're forecasting another storm and "frost" by Friday.
Since I have very little space left in my living room, I wonder if it'd be fine to store potted plants in my (non-freezing) garage. Will they be ok (agaves, phoenix roebelleni, trachycarpus, butia) with only a 3 x 1ft window as a light source? Not that my living room is brighter in winter, but it's too cluttered already.
Amazing how things outgrow their space over the summer!
PS in the next few weeks i'll be putting up wire cages and burlap n leaves to most of the stuff I've planted this year. i don't want to risk losses to both winter and hungry deer. I have a 7gal needle which will get extra treatment :-)
