And here's a camellia that didn't make it through last winter...
This Camellia is "ShiShi Gashira", a low-growing sasanqua type. I had this for several years - very slowly getting established since it got scorched a bit in some bad winters. It is rated Zone 7b... and I think it really is a 7b plant, since it REALLY died, as in "dead as a door nail
", after last winter.
I left the dead plant in the ground all this past summer and nothing
re-sprouted at all, so I declaring it dead! So this one is NOT one to try in Zone 6!
But here it is last November, before the "vortex"!
