uhmm all of them?
Magnolia grandiflora!! hardy, large leaves, huge flowers, and just plain magnificent both up close and from a distance.
Lithocarpus henryi!! Saw one thriving at the Arnold Arboretum in Boston. large eucalyptus-esque leaves and exotic. I don't have one yet, they are rare as hen's teeth.
Trochodendron araloides!! Another rare one but very jurrassic park-esque. I wish I had the space (and the money) for one.
Cornus angustata!! A hardy (zone6?) evergreen dogwood with edible fruit? I'm sold. They'll probably lose their leaves (or maybe their lives) in zone 6 though, but worth a shot.
