This is interesting. Last summer I visited a gardener in northern Virginia with whom I'm still in contact once in a while (i.e., every 5-10 years!). I had done some work for them when I was a teen. I saw something darting along a wall and he said he's been spotting lizards around his garden this year. Well, notably, it was after the very cold winter, so unless they were recent escapes, they'd somehow survived that. I didn't get a good look at it, but it could definitely have been one of these.
