Spring is almost here, temps into the upper 40's today and will be in the 50's all week. There are still a few inches of snow on the ground but should be gone soon. I didn't want to unwrap anything totally, I'll wait til the snow is all gone, but I couldn't resist unwrapping the tops of some. FYI, I'm not exactly sure what the low was here, my thermometer's batteries died right before the coldest of the cold came through and I just replaced them today...it's been too cold. Officially, according to as Frank says Accu-wrong, my low was -7F, however my car thermometer recorded -11F in a valley behind me about 3 miles away, though with the hills and elevation changes around here, temps can vary quite a bit. My car thermometer when I left the driveway said zero when I left, but it is never accurate until I start to drive.
The waggie enclosure was too tall to take a pic of so I didn't, but this trachy looks great!
Med fan not looking as good
Unknown yucca plucked from HHI last year. Looks surprisingly good for being unprotected.
One of the Jim K. specials that has never had damage until now. I believe this to be the infamous 'White Shed'. No protection
Another Jim K. special, showing some bleaching, no protection
Illicium took a beating unprotected but should survive.
More to come once I finally unwrap everything else and the snow melts.
