Well I can maybe speak best of being inside and being potted...They are very tolerant of both.
Just when outside give ample water (though forgetting to water for a bit will not kill them anytime soon), and feeding/fertilizing they love high amounts of, but also not likely to whither away or anything if you didn't feed much. Professionals, and others like me, lol, will sometimes leave the pot sitting in a bowl of water, so they can drink to their hearts content, but I don't leave it steady for months on end.
I've overwintered them in a basement with limited light and they do just fine for me. They usually hold most of their big leaves and show some very slow growth...I don't know how'd they react if I fed them and gave them more light inside too!
By Fall with lots of this heat, water, and feeding they should become HUGE.
