Not a whole lot of change. It actually feels like summer (all 2 weeks of it) is rapidly coming to an end already as temps have only been in the low to mid 80's and lows in the low 60's. It was a lousy summer overall, wet and cool, as the 3 year trend of lousy weather continues. I took a bunch of pics of my ensete both before and after trimming. Before trimming, the trunk is red, after, the trunk is more green.
Basically all new growth on minor, fairly typical. Will have 3-4 fronds by the end of the season.
Bad year for the basjoo, only about 8 feet tall. No liquid ferts this year.
I didn't think this basjoo was going to come back. It is stunted but alive.
I didn't plant these, and they don't resemble any of my cacti, but I have a crapload of baby cacti. They are on the opposite side of the bed from the direction the wind blows. The only cacti I have that has bloomed profusely is my O. viridiflora, but it looks nothing like a cholla right now. I guess time will tell. Hard to tell in this pic with all the weeds, but there are dozens of babies.
Thanks for looking!
