looks right. Var. australis is supposed to be more tree-like, from what I know.
I THOUGHT I had bought a var. australis (I have it in my front lawn, I don't know if you remember), but it's almost totally bare now and all the new growth this year was from the base. Not very tree- like. They're impossible to tell apart when you see them at the nursery in pots, unfortunately. The one I bought was labeled var australis, but clearly it isn't.
Next spring I'll dig it up and replace it with something truly evergreen.
your pics though sure look like an australis grove. very cool!
