With the nice weather yesterday, I was able to get out to Ravenswood park on Cape Ann.
I did not see any mature trees, but given the number of smaller seedlings scattered around, there must be at least few in the area.
There were several different Carex
My favorite picture from the hike.
Polypodium virginianum (Rock Fern)
Epigea repens (Mayflower), State flower for MA
Mitchella repens (Partridge Berry)
Moss in the swamp/wetlands near where the M. virginiana are located
Gaultheria procumbens (Wintergreen), very common in this area
Unknown groundcover found growing at the edge of the wetlands
Bonus: another flower on my Camellia opened up yesterday
