I wasn't on here too often this past year but I do have some noteworthy pictures to share.
Chicago Hardy Fig Grew to 6' after dieback to the ground. I even had a half dozen tasty figs ripen.
This year was the year for my shy blooming cactus. Opuntia humifusa and a little O. phaeacantha on the side.
Opuntia imbricata put on one hell of a show!
Opuntia kleiniae flowered finally. Now If I can only keep it from a slow death like my previous ones (this one is slowly shrinking too - second picture was from the spring).

Crape myrtles did well... Sarah's Favorite Growth after dieback to the ground.
Midnight Magic It was about to put on a show when it was hit with the first freeze :-( I think it would have flowered sooner had it not been for the drought.
And the truly unexpected surprise of the year, a calla that survived the winter unprotected. While its next to the garage, it is unheated and at least 15-20' from a heated wall of the house.
