I am noticing the same on basically every garden forum I am aware of. Some worse than other...cloudforest cafe is especially moribund.

Granted I'm not a member of fakebook, so it's possible that some amount of activity continues to migrate there. But I think it's mostly: the time of year and, sorry to say, the creeping senescence of advanced gardening as a hobby!
