I started the elata seed back in 2000. We have a sandy loam textured soil (no clay). It will look decent after it's 2nd season if planted in the ground after it's 3rd leaf. If you grow in a pot then it will grow much slower and it will be smaller.......and you may kill it. Yuccas don't enjoy being in pots......they grow much faster in the ground in FULL sun. I don't think your soil is a issue......just give it sun. |
