Thanks jwitt. I grew up in Albiquerque. They do come from higher elevation in the Sandias. There is a nice clump in Boulder, CO. It was doing fine and growing. Now this year it got that fugus/insect damage. The problem with systemic is that it is going to take a great deal of time for the plant to uptake it. On average it rains 17 inches a year. Much less then Brownsville 60 miles to the east. Thanks for the advice and help.
