havent seen much activity in the yuccas nearby and my Y torreyi survived another winter here and now has a good 1/2 foot of wood. I never thought it could be possible to grow a desert yucca in my climate outside of Elata but it has survived likely because I havent had any true z6b/z7a lows in 10 years due to climate warmth (for some reason) Still had the cold wet damp but it lived and has grown some. The lower blades have the spotted black blotch and I need to cut it off before it spreads further.I hate the black blotch! The heat is returning and hopefully we will see some blooms soon! |
