Hi Tim, I didn't even think of that. Do you know how long yucca pollen stays viable if kept cold? Would it last a whole year do you think? Before you were saying that the pollen donor is typically the one where most of the characteristics come from. ideally I guess the elata pollen would have to fertilize the glauca to get a tree. Now I wish I owned a little land in Canada lol. Maybe there is some way to push off blooming for the glauca. Once that glauca 'maxwell' seedling you gave me a couple years ago gets a little age, I will put down ice packs on ground around it daily. 😊 |
